Bathgate Procession and John Newland Festival

Park Entertainment 2007

park 2007
Over the years we have set a standard in entertainment that even the biggest shows in the UK would be envious of. This year is set to be no different.

We have looked far and wide this year to bring together a programme that will, I’m sure, have something for everyone. From our own back yard to Aachen, Germany our entertainers will descend on the Meadow Park to wow you with their musicianship, comedy, daring, skill, showmanship and down right madness.

I hope you, the people of Bathgate, will show them your appreciation by joining us in the Meadow Park on the afternoon of Procession Day. And remember, there is no entrance fee so you can enjoy an afternoon of world class entertainment absolutely free.

See you there.

3:15pm – 3:45pm

Amanda Saville and her team make their first appearance in 10 years at Bathgate. Amanda is an accomplished horsewoman and carriage driver having won many national competitions. The display demonstrates driving of hair’s breadth accuracy. The ponies and Amanda show great courage and trust in each other as they drive over jumps and around obstacles at break-neck speed. The show ends with a breathtaking fire stunt. The team consists of a number of ponies (many rescued), a bullock and some sheep. Chariots of Fire has been inspected and commended by the RSPCA and endorsed by the International League for the Protection of Horses.

Appearing for the first time at Bathgate is a team of two of the world’s best motorcycle stunt riders. Martin Crosswaite and Dan Clark will have your heart in your mouth as they perform amazing stunts, including 15ft vertical jumps, “drop offs” and many freestyle tricks that can only be attempted by a handful of riders throughout the world.

Can you remember the days when Kickstart was on the telly?
